OUTA made submissions to Parliament on Budget 2021 and on the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement 2021 (MTBPS 2021).

On 24 February 2021, Minister of Finance Tito Mboweni presented the national Budget 2021.

On 11 November, new Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana presented the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS 2021).

As part of the budget process, OUTA submitted comment on both Budgets to various parliamentary committees.

Budget 2021:

OUTA's submission on 26 February 2021 on the fiscal framework and revenue proposals, to the Select and Standing Committees on Finance, is here.

On 21 May 2021, OUTA made submissions commenting on the Appropriation Bill and opposing the Special Appropriation Bill (which moves part of SAA’s bailout to subsidiaries SAA Technical, Mango and Air Chefs) to the Standing Committee on Appropriations. The submissions are here and here.
